California has joined Connecticut and become the second state to mandate paid sick leave for employees.

As stated in Governor Brown’s press release:

This bill specifically requires employers to provide paid sick leave to employees who work 30 or more days within a year from commencement of employment and employees will earn a minimum of one hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked.”
