Even though ecotime®; was created to satisfy the needs of every organization, HBS realized that many industries have specialized regulations they must follow. HBS answered the need of specific industry requirements with the introduction of specialized editions developed to incorporate their particular functionality.

Education

HBS acknowledges that pay policies in the education field are widely different from any other industry. Most school districts and colleges operate on a fiscal year starting in July. Teachers and professors can have multiple contracts in which they may receive different rates of pay for each contract. The need for time to be tracked for state and federally funded programs is often required. ecotime® will manage the eligibly and usage of these codes.

Schools and colleges are more than educators, there are administrators, food services, grounds, maintenance and transportation personnel that must also be paid. HBS is familiar with the existence of different unions with varying rules and pay policies. ecotime® is designed to manage these differences easily. The Educational edition also includes the Retro Active Pay Module as a standard feature.

ecotime® Educational Edition also has a feature to capture and manage time for the student populations. The system has the ability to notify supervisors when students are endangered of breaking limits of hours based on work study programs.

Energy and Construction

HBS identified a set of problems unique to Energy and Construction companies when developing a solution specific edition for that industry. It is not uncommon for employees to work at different locations often very remote. The lack of internet access and telephone/cellular service can make the attainment of data more difficult. The ecotime® has integrated many different devices to make this job easier and more efficient. The HBS system can also be used to track equipment usage, alert users of required maintenance and feed other equipment tracking systems.

Financial

Since its inception HBS has been serving the financial industry by providing state of the art products to automate their time and attendance processes. Government

Processing time and attendance for the government sector can differ significantly from commercial industries.  Our years of experience working with city, state and federal government agencies provided a foundation for the development of ecotime® Government Edition. It is designed to meet the complex needs of cities, counties and state governments while staying within their stringent budgets. Many different agencies each with unique schedules and rules are typically incorporated into one governmental entity. ecotime® Government edition includes many rules for police, fire fighters and other emergency personnel, who are often required to work without a renewed contract. This is why HBS has included the Retro Active Pay Module as a standard feature.

Healthcare

HBS now services TWO of the top seven rated hospitals in the country. The Health Care industry operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and must have coverage during holidays. Hospitals often have extremely complicated rules with multiple pay rates and categories for each employee. ecotime® Healthcare Edition is designed to meet the industry’s needs. It allows hospitals to easily manage constantly changing rules set by multiple unions and other regulatory agencies.  Like many other essential services areas hospital staff is often required to work without a renewed contract. Manufacturing

HBS products have been designed to address the unique but diverse requirements common to the manufacturing industry. Our products, in conjunction with electronic or biometric time clocks have proven to meet the needs of a workforce that operates under multiple shifts and does not traditionally have access to PCs. With HBS you are not limited to one method of collecting time, but can incorporate different data collection devices. Multi Union Organizations

HBS has many multi union clients in many different industries, and although they seem very different they all have similar problems. Each union may have it’s owns rules, policies, rates, schedules and even pay cycles. ecotime® has been designed to accommodate these differences.  The system uses profiles to determine what rules should be applied to each employee. The flexibility of the system allows for the system to be easily updated when new union contracts are signed. Most union customers also elect to purchase the optional Retro Active Pay Module.

Pharmaceutical

Pharmaceutical companies have many unique labor tracking requirements. HBS products are designed to track time in order to pay employees, but can also be used to track time for research and development. In addition, the time that employee’s work on specific productions / manufacturing runs can also be tracked. This ability to track which employees worked on what production batches is vital information for management in the pharmaceutical industry.
